A New Site…For Selling and Buying…Handcrafted Art’s Items

Well I woke up to a email from a friend this morning with a link to a new site, I had never heard of before.  Art Fire a new site to buy and sell handcrafted items.  I looked it over and signed up.  eBay, a site good to me for years and years, just got to populated with “junk” and way to expensive to use.  I quit selling on eBay in August.  I was thinking of going back there after the first of the year, but I am now thinking I will concentrate on this new venue Art Fire.   I put some items up today, and plan to take photo’s and put more items up this afternoon and tomorrow.  Here are some great beads that fit on Biagi style chains…made by my husband Dan, they are up on koregon Art Fire.

 

Back Home…Getting Back On Track

Well I had the most wonderful time in TN…girl time rocks, learning, laughing…nothing better   I do get worn out though, came home just plum worn out and have slept 8 hours plus each day since.  I got back on my elliptical and started watching my food/calories….I tried to be good while I was away, but still gained 0.8 of a pound, but lost it within a day of arriving home.  So a no loss week. 

I haven’t torched all week.  No drive to, which is scary, still hoping to get my mojo flowing again.

Well anway, just wanted to pop on and say hi, and yeah…I made it home safe and sound.

Getting Ready To Fly Away Again…

This time for a girls long weekend…friends, glass and fire…laughs and fun in TN.   My friend Angie and her mom Verna brought up coming down for the weekend, so a few of us are headed that way.  Meeting up with my friends Susan and Fay at the airport in Nashville on Thur…for a ride to Crossville.  Then another friend Deanna is coming for the weekend on Friday…then of course there is the coming home…that will be next Monday…but it will be a jam packed fun weekend, how could it not be anything but with this group of gals

Well anyway headed up to Portland tomorrow spend the night in a hotel because of an early flight on Thur morning…I love living on the Oregon Coast, but sometimes being so far from the airport for flights back east…you have no choice but to stay the night in a hotel.

Update on my exercise and watching my eatting…taking my life back

A while back I had a post on how I finely decided it was time to loose this weight, get back into some kind of shape so that I would start to feel better and look better before I turn 50 in a couple years.  I am glad to say…so far, I am still on track!  I just watch what I eat, counting calories and making good choices to stay in a certain calorie range.  My goal each week is to loose a couple pounds…so far so good

I have lost 11 pounds so far, and I am up to 30 min with weights on my wrist on my elliptical each and every day.   Even though I don’t love doing the exercise, I do it and I am so glad each time I am finished.  So no love for the elliptical yet, but I don’t have a clue of what I would do with out it.  Love~hate relationship I guess LOL.  I feel better! and I think I can see the change starting to happen.  I can’t believe the difference in my knee’s and back…how much better I feel. 

Well anyway, I just figured I would update and let ya all know, I am doing just great on taking my life back.

Changeable Earrings…Hoops…Charms…Great Gift Idea!

Biagi Style Bracelets and Beads…A “Great” Gift Idea!

Biagi style bracelets, what a great gift idea for a woman of any age…you can buy them a starter bracelet and a couple beads and start a collection…you can work on a theme and interchangeable wearable jewelry idea, there are necklaces and bracelets in many sizes and lengths to decorate with large hole beads.  

 

I am giving one to my daughter for Christmas…with sets of lampwork beads in different colors so she can change them out.  You can buy all kinds of large hole beads that make them more unique…I have a Harley Motorcycle theme bracelet…and a tropical theme bracelet.   I also have a necklace that I wear big hole hollows on with cool spacers…and some Dan-O Beads with the spacers  (in fact that’s a quick snap of my necklace with Dan~O Beads)…making it a very cool piece of jewelry….we sell these floral spacers on our Etsy store…along with the genuine Jade and sterling bead shown after the necklace photo.

 

I have always loved jewelry given to me as gifts…so I figured what a great blog subject…idea’s for the woman in your life.   I do plan on putting up more medleys of big hole beads…and some chains with removable hollows and spacers etc…also some lampwork hoop charms and hoop sets, that come along with some genuine pearl drops…for gift giving idea’s…so keep any eye on our Etsy store…for the new items for gift giving.

Still In Lust With Double Helex Triton

I am still in lust…with Double Helex Triton, I can’t help myself.  It seems to look a bit different on every shade of glass, similar but different.   I bought some great chains and the hollows I am making fit on them…so hey! Well I have a couple new things in our Etsy store…they are just gorgeous in my opinion.  Beads I would wear and love myself….so thought I would share…one is a Sedona Stone bling focal…and the other…well its a medley of color with Triton stringer detail, yum yum yum.   Anyway, wanted to share the newest I have to offer. 

One of my best sellers in organic bling style…raku frit with shimmery and shiny fiery russet dichro with silver mesh and twisties of color accents.  I made this one as a request and the person never got back to me…so their loss, your gain…its up for sale!

Hunting Widow…but only for a week this time…he’s on his way home!

I’m a hunting widow, most of the time he leaves for two to three weeks…so this year I planned a trip to go and play with a friend in New England and get some time away for me before I came home and Dan had to go.  Well its been lonely…no denying I miss my hubby a LOT…after almost 30 years of marriage, I love him more than yesterday and all that…sappy huh? well to bad…I do…I miss and love him dearly.  We he is going to be home a whole week early because they filled all four tags.  They went up into the mountains of Idaho.  Dan will bring home a whole elk this year.  I know many don’t believe in hunting.  But I tell ya, nothing better than elk you have cared for and cut up yourself.  Fed up in the mountains, 9,000 ft up on vegetation and no hormones or farming.  Hey, ten grams of fat per pound, all lean meat.  We won’t be buying beef for the next year…all beef will be replaced with elk….its pure yummy and I am happy.  So yep…I’m a hunting widow, but actually very happy that he was successful and yes I do cook it for him

1.  I have a secret obsession with beads and supplies, I think my brain thinks my home office is a bead store…it’s not…but I am ready for about anything!!   If find something (finding, pearls or whatever) that I adore, I normally buy it in quantity so I get the lowest price and sell off the excess to pay for what I kept ….I’m bad to the bone aren’t I?  Maybe I just think I should own a bead store…hmmmmm.

2.  I don’t know how to use the remote control worth a darn to our direct tv…its a challenge and I stare at the darn thing everytime I am left home alone….so most of the time I don’t watch tv…I dink around on line or listen to music.  Dan is the remote control man of course

3. I am ubber competitive…I had to have a wii fit after my friend Suzy got me hooked, I wanted to leave her house with my name in number one on everything (didn’t happen) but I sure tried…now it’s a battle of the top dog here at home with my hubby Dan.  he is only number one in two events.

4.  I am a grandma and love it

5.  I have a 2005 “fiery” Daytona Sunset Orange Metallic C6 Corvette…with my name “Kaye” on the licence plate

6.  I have never smoked pot….never wanted to…I think I might be an oddity.

7.  I can’t go to sleep without my iPhone by the bedside.  I have to check e-mail with it before I get up in the morning, just to read my email from my husband who goes to work early…he always sends me a good morning baby email
